For us, innovation isn’t about breaking an atom, it is about taking tried and tested technologies and combining them with real-world knowledge to develop the best technologies, practices and implementation programs in the world. 

The dynamics inside hospitals and the infection risks to patients are evolving around us every day. Our drive is to innovate technology which will meet the always-changing needs of hospitals and improve patient outcomes. 

How we innovate


We have built our innovation framework on the Design Council's Double Diamond model applied it to the work we have to do in hospitals to produce a robust product and service development methodology. There are four key phases:


Working with our customers, we gain a deep understanding of their needs, their pain points, the application and challenges they face every day. We gather key insights and develop early concepts about how these needs could be met with innovation, design and technology.


We scrutinise all the possibilities, narrow the options and define a solution that will work within the constraints of a typical hospital and meet the broader needs of modern healthcare.


We develop technical solutions using all the expertise available to us, prototyping and testing at each step along the way until we have a solution that meets the needs we identified early in the 'Discover' phase.


We work with our partner hospitals to implement and evaluate the acceptance in the real hospital environment.

We specialise in the development of whole room decontamination systems for hospitals. Our technologies could be used in many industries - for example, leisure, hospitality - but we have chosen to focus our energies on hospitals because we know we can deliver measurable results that save lives.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide vapour

Hydrogen peroxide (H202) is a chemical compound made up of two atoms; hydrogen and oxygen. A powerful disinfectant that has been used since the 1920's, it is highly effective at killing micro-organisms by a process of oxidisation which destroys the cell wall. Hydrogen Peroxide is preferred as a disinfectant as it breaks down to form water (H2O) and oxygen (O).

Our systems vaporise a hydrogen peroxide solution to disinfect surfaces within an enclosed space and have been proven to reduce the risk of patients acquiring infection whilst in hospital.

Ultra Violet light

Ultraviolet light

UV-C is a short-wavelength light that destroys the nucleic acid inside micro-organisms and disrupts their DNA. Used as a form of sterilisation for over 100 years, ultraviolet light is popular due to it being a chemical free, residue free process. 

Our systems use a combination of high intensity UV-C and real-time monitoring to flood a contained space with light and minimise the risk of shadowing.
